Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor and morning reporter on WCBD TV. Her articles from Charleston concerning how Charleston police acted in DUI cases with care, caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger direction for state officials. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell was a reporter and anchor for a time in Charleston working as a journalist and co-anchor for the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving to Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent on weekends. Additionally, she is a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. The anchor has hosted a number of Pre-ShowArrivals programs to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Her other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
